Banda neozelandesa de pop-rock, cuya mayor significación es estar liderada por un gran compositor de impresión Beatles, Neil Finn (nacido el 27 de mayo de 1958 en Te Awamutu, Nueva Zelanda), cantante, guitarrista y escritor de canciones de plausible lírica y edificación melódica. Crowded House derivan de Split Enz, una banda new wave formada en los años 70 que bebía en fuentes 60’s, con significación por los temas de las bandas de la Invasión Británica. Split Enz estaba liderada en principio por Tim Finn (nacido el 25 de junio de 1952 en Te Awamutu, Nueva Zelanda) y Phil Judd.
