Justin Bieber - American Refugee Live From Sky Tower Lyrics

American Refugee Live From Sky Tower

American Refugee Part 1: Waking Up

Head feels like a ton of bricks
Trying to retrace my mis-stepped steps

Where have I awoken
What country am I in
Who was that girl last night
Why did I choose to go through it again

When will I finally say enough is enough

Enough is enough
Why does the poison taste like medicine

I love everything that hates me
Alcohol and cigarettes
Promiscuous girls wanna date me
But only for a night and then a day of regrets

Eating sushi
In the center at the top of the pyramid
This is the life
Point blank period
Hamachi ahi
Uni unagi
We eat everything
Up until the last big fish in all the 7 seas

7 seas 7 sins at the table gambling’
Wash it all down with all green everything
Green dollars green grass green eyes green tea
From poor to rich tables turn lights switch look how the pendulum swings

It's 113 degrees here in Sin City
Can we at least admit that something's wrong
The mass media is an encyclopedia of trivial distractions
Same old dance and song

Who cares about a couple of convicts or the size of Lebron's d!ck
We're all lost at sea and can't see the coming storm

A night was had dancing music flirting new friends
We're all in it together a glorious moment with people from all over the world

We were on top of the world
Surfin on a rocket on cloud 9 with some fine felines
Bumping beats with a pocket full of sunshine
Flashing lights and flashy ladies
Drinks on me
No, literally, "drink's on me.”
American Refugee Part 2: Top of The Pyramid

Eating sushi in the center at the top of the pyramid
This is the life point blank pyramid
Built on the back of high hopes and low self esteem
Where every game is fixed and sits upon a million broken dreams

See
I've seen a man lose everything due to his greed
In the passionate pursuit of his wants
He seemed to have lost all his necessary needs

See
This is Vegas baby
Where bad things seem good
And good things seem shady

Though luckily
I've mastered the art of the sin
So I rarely play
And when I do I play to win

Loaded dice cards up my sleeve
I know the dealer plus I paid off the magician
For I am one of those that made it
To the top of the pyramid
So now I sit in a penthouse suite with a sweet freak between my sheets at the Luxor
I told you before this is the life point blank pyramid

Hahahahaha
Head feels like a ton of bricks
Trying to retrace my mis-stepped steps

California draught Texas floods
Possessive lust disguised as love
Disgusted but what can any of us do about it
The truth is we've got to stop talking and be about it

And that is the fundamental problem

Plus Luciferian false prophets profess hedonistic linguistics
On various obsolete topics
As artificial mystics with marketable gimmicks
Break the rules and the lines of scrimmage

This is serious in all seriousness

Still we try to ignore it all and fill in the hole with alcohol and other various intoxicants

That is the elephant in the room
We are all consumers consumed
We are slaves that dig our own graves
And build our own tombs

We can Tivo a TV show and that can be saved
But we can not seem to save our own souls
My heart has some holes

No clouds in LA just that ominous haze
113 degrees in the shade
As the Luciferian prophets are praised
And we don't care about the world as long as we're getting paid

Only when the last tree has died
The last river has been poisoned
And the last fish has been caught
Will we realize we can't eat money

And we know all of this deep within ourselves
That's why we feel uneasy and anxious
Because we have no one left to blame but ourselves

So we log onto Facebook
Searching for some kind of company and salvation
Some words to guide us and pass the time
Some voyeuristic advice and definitive direction

But the revolution won't be televised
Online on the internet what do we really find
Just words and some pictures
Humankind homogenized

And infidel idols idolized
While copycat killers copyright what was one ritualized
And what's left of Mother Nature becomes industrialized
Hot as Hell still the temperature continues to rise

It's 113 degrees here in Sin City
Can we at least admit that something's wrong
The mass media is an encyclopedia of trivial distractions
Same old dance and song

Head feels like a ton of bricks
Trying to retrace my mis-stepped steps
Head feels like a ton of bricks
Trying to retrace my mis-stepped steps!

Will anyone go with me?

American Refugee Part 3: Exodus

I came to this country to escape Hollywood
Where I was trapped in its trapped trappings

Trapped in its clubs
Trapped in its women
Trapped in its drugs
Trapped in its cliches

So why is it I find myself on the other side of the world
At a club with some women on drugs trapped in the same cliches?

Same sh!t different country

I guess you can take boy outta LA
But you can’t take the LA outta the boy

I am the world’s first American refugee

Except I didn’t come on a boat in ragged clothes clinging to my body
And ragged hopes clinging to my psyche
I came on a plane in a 1st class seat
Dining on offering of a corporate world wide empire

But it is not the means of a movement
It is the intentions behind the actions that matter

And I came with the intentions to create a healthier life
A cleaner life
A better future for myself and all those that I love

I am an American Refugee
I am an American Refugee
Fleeing the subconscious oppressions of my country
Fleeing the persecutions of all things I hold holy and sacred

I am tired of witnessing the spiritual martyr of my failing comrades

I am an American Refugee more specifically a Hollywood refugee
Fleeing the bright lights and large egos
Searching for solace and refuge
Amongst the towering rainforest trees of New Zealand

American Refugee Part 4: Love Sex Magic

As I soak my bruised bones and my blood diamonds
In a bubble bath of passionfruit and guava
This is no joke I exude the good life without even trying
My karma mixed with my commas brought me to Nirvana

No Kurt Cobain
Just hurt and pain mixed up with this money made me a monster
No Meek Mills or weak wills
Just a Student from School of Hard Knocks who graduated with honors

Somehow
So now I’m swimming in endorphins with a princess no tiara
No tomorrow no time to borrow
And I bet we’re gonna make Love Sex Magic no Future or Ciara

That’s a pop reference if you didn’t get it
Yeah Future Ciara I Bet Love Sex Magic trick or treat

See there’s a ton of puns
And subliminals in almost every line I write
Sometimes the sublime subliminals are so subtle
That I don’t even catch them they escape no alibis

Copycat killers can imitate but never copyright
They’re just imitation fillers while my literature stays genuine
All illegitimate posers attempts at insight
Pale in comparison to my my legitimate ledgers in time

I’m often imitated but never duplicated
I’m the word of God plus what Satan said

This is the balance of extremes
Forearms tattooed with pitchforks back tattooed with angel wings

This is what happens when fashion meets passion
This is the combination of everything and everything
This is it this is all
I am infinitely everything

So why
So why
Why would I subject myself
To the same oppressions I’ve attempted to flee from?

Justin Bieber echoes across the dance floor
“Yeah is it too late to say I’m sorry now
Yeah I know I let you down
Is it too late to say I’m sorry now?”

And as cliche and cheesy as that sounds
I get the chills because I know exactly what he was talking about

And I wondered if anyone else in that club was an American Refugee
I wondered if anyone else in that club knew what Biebs was saying
Or if they were just dancing because of the beat

And they were just seeing along
Because they thought that’s what they were supposed to do
Because most people have to be told what’s cool
And force-fed that coolness until they have too many pairs of shoes

No amount of shoes will bring you real happiness
And honestly I apologize
We Hollywoodians were put in a position to lead the Free World
And everyone listened to us, you all listened to us

You gave us your ears and your hearts your souls and your minds
And we gave you improbable dreams
And glorious visions
Of an unsustainable lifestyle that you’ll go broke trying to duplicate

When will you realize
You can chase but never catch something that doesn’t really exist?

And I’m sorry
But I give up I’m done because
“Yeah I know once more that I let you down
Is it too late to say I’m sorry now?”

Whatever this thing is I believe it’s still here
It’s watching us right now…

And I meditate on all of this
Right here at this restaurant as they stare
An American Dream living legend
In a never-ending nefarious nightmare

Eating sushi
In the center at the top of the pyramid
I told you before this is the life
Point, blank, pyramid

American Refugee Part 5: Tripping In Meditations

You can’t put a price on freedom we are all broken
Spending money like it’s time tripping through this reality
No structures no rules no definites except that we all die
And even that is debatable

Anyone can argue anything
Right or wrong there is no right or wrong
Right or wrong there is no black or white
There is only an area of gray grander than the most grandiose Gray Whale

Give me your pain

A Skinwalker a shapeshifter a sorcerer an evil witch
Control men’s minds and make them do all kinds of things
It uh assumes the shape of animals
Puts on the skins and it has the power of those animals
And it’s very serious stuff
Because if you mention a Skinwalker it comes for you

Give me your pain
Granted in g-forces
Crash me into you
Crash landing no demanding no requesting no 1st no 2nd guessing
No needing no freedom
You can’t put a price on freedom you can’t put a price on me
And if you could you would find that that price would be totally free

Forget you
Forget me not
Forget forgetting you
Remember you
Until forever turns into just memories
Until our bodies turn to dust

Until all that seems so artificially important
Becomes insignificant relics of a distant past

Past
Pass that over here whatever it is
Tonight there are no rules
There are no borders there are no limits there is only freedom

Uggh

Can’t put a price on freedom
We are all broken
Spending money like it’s time
Tripping through this reality

Take this trip with me
Take this trip with me
Take this trip with me
Take this trip with me…

American Refugee Part 6: Lonely Tornado

She is
She is
A natural phenomenon a beautiful creation
She is all journey with no destination

She is
As unique as a snowflake as destructive as a snow storm
She is floods she is earthquakes
She is everything except norm

She is
A natural disaster a lonely tornado
All defiance no alliance
A rogue state no NATO

She is
A wildfire a wildfire doesn’t ask for directions
She’s a real live wire
A lucid dream a livid loose cannon

She pulls no punches and bars no holds
She acts on hunches and is always on the go
An amazing blaze in incredible ways
She is Dante’s Inferno

An altruistic angel and The Statue of Liberty’s flame
Sure she is a woman too but that is only by name

She is The Truth
Even when she is a Liar
She is the epitome of the embodiment of
A constructive destructive desire

She is
The message and the bottle the ocean and the storm
She is the function
And she is the form

A style all her won
She doesn’t even follow her own trends
She is the most beautiful tale ever written
She is the beginning of a mysterious plot she is the story that never ends

She falls in love and out
Any inhibitions she releases them
She is the apple of my eye, she is the forbidden fruit
And when she comes she comes to fruition

She is not led astray by anybody
She listens only to her own intuitions
She’s is the Kama she is the Sutra
And she is all the positions

She is childlike cat like curiosity
And ancient timeless wisdom

When with her
I feel love and trust
I feel friendship
I feel lust

I feel life I feel death
It’s all the same differences
Here now gone tomorrow
Life is comprised of momentary instances

So what is the significance of anything with any significance
In fact to be exact what’s the significance of any of this

She is so much more than these words
She is so much more than these feelings
She is so much more than this world
She is so much more than the mirage in these meanings

So even when I write her the most amazing poems
Or sing her the most amazing songs
I still know any attempt to define her design is hopeless
Because no matter what I say or write
We all know a Natural Phenom is almost impossible to describe

There are no words in any language
That can do her majesticness true justice
Her cardinal directions can not be defined
No matter how powerful the compass is

See she encompasses
In all honestness she herself is a hurricane
She is a Mommy Tsunami
She is a Stormy Torrential Rain

She is as desolate as the Mojave
She is all definites no probablies

She is a Fertile Earthquake
A Vixenous Volcano
Here in a whirlwind then gone in a flash
She is a Lonely Tornado

American Refugee Part 7: In Our Dreams

Yes
You were in my dreams again
Even though we are on opposite sides of the world
I swear in my dreams you are here

And I don’t want to wake up
I just want to lay here
In this world we created
Where we have our secret rendezvouses

Yes it seems like the world is ending
That World War 3 is imminent
That all our emotions are felt in vain
And I don’t even care let it all burn up in brilliant light

Let the bloodthirsty beasts be seduced by their own violence
Until they all explode

Yes this world is a crazy place
These days it seems there’s nowhere left where we can hide
Nowhere except here In our dreams
Where we have our secret rendezvouses

American Refugee Part 8: Hollywood Love Letters

Yes

Yes

Yes you were in my dreams again
Even though we are on opposite sides of the world

And I swear in my dreams you are here
And I don’t want to wake up
I just want to lay here in this world we created
Where we have our secret rendezvouses

We are emotional refugees
Fleeing the abuses of our pasts
In hopes of a better life
A place where we can breathe and be free

Yes we are all nostalgic for a time we never had
Hopeless romantics in love with the past

And I know you are gone
Possibly forever and know I’d do almost anything to get you back
Back to the warm embrace of your lover
Back to the bed where we dreamed these dreams undercover

Yes

Yes

Yes you are the center of attention
Wherever you go people want to be near you
Everything say people listen
And yes many yearn for your touch

But you don’t want them to touch you
You only want me to touch you
But you only let them touch you

Yes you are sadly sadomasochistic
Strangely addicted to those that lack love
You’d rather be objectified by total strangers
Than unified with your equal because

You feel more comfortable having sex with a stranger
Than hugging someone you really love

Love
What’s happened to us
You lost yourself in other people’s desires
And I wasn’t man enough to fight back

Yes

Yes
I ran away like I always have
I ran away on a flight to the other side of the world
And now the only time I see you
Is in my dreams where we have our secret rendezvouses

And you
You’re still stuck in that toxic Tinseltown of Hollywood
Where no one cares who you are they only care what you are
Fcking energy vampires sucking the life right out of you

Yes

I guess
We can finally have a bit of peace thousands of miles from each other
Even though we can’t run forever
And we can run but we can’t hide from ourselves

And no mountain is high enough
No ocean is deep enough
No land is wide enough
No wall is high enough to keep this flood of feelings away

Away

Away
Awaaaaaaaaay

Yes
I’ve tried everything to cleanse you from my consciousness
I’ve tried yoga meditation drinking drugs sex and even suicide
But it seems the only thing that begins to help is writing these words

And I write these words
Oh how I write these words

Words to sentences
Sentences to paragraphs
Paragraphs to pages
Pages to chapters
Chapters to books
Books to anthologies

Yes

I’ve written the largest collection of poetry ever written
I’ve written about everything
Still it feels like I haven’t said a thing
Just another heartbroken kid lost trying to find, his way, home

And I want to get all this through to you

But you’re too caught up

In Facebook updates
Snapchat vids
Instagram likes
Twitter tweets

I just wish you’d look up and see me again
And remember what it was like to be free and loved
And you say I don’t care
But it’s just that I don’t care about those that don’t care about us

Yes
Yes
Yes you were in my dreams again
Even though we are on opposite sides of the world

I swear in my dreams you are here
And I don’t want to wake up
I just want to lay here in this world we’ve created
Where we have our secret rendezvouses

American Refugee Part 9: Butterflies, Landmines, Monsters, Mobsters

Feeling like a butterfly in a hurricane
Feeling like this moment is forever even though I may never see her again

See

Just when you think you’re on stable ground
The earth shakes and you get caught in a landslide
And just when you think you’re finally back on your feet
You walk outside and step on a landmine

It all seems way too chaotic
And the war drums all sound hypnotic
And the soldiers all seem robotic
Somehow this scene all seems similar and symbolic

We’re monsters and mobsters
Grey Goose vodka with guava
All of us are monsters slash mobsters
Well dressed our recipe conquers

Honest
No lies although I might conceal truths
The truth
Is the rest of you just pay dues

Can't find me where they find you
Point A to Point B we break banks sky high IQs
Why try and test I you retire and say bye bye
If you knew what I know about you

Point A to Point B
I C through these D-eceitful ones
It’s all E-energy
They want the keys to the kingdom but they lack the funds

Dumdums
Weighed down with dumbbells
The only thing they run
Is themselves in a hamster wheel

They’re just peasants
Our bloodlines are imperial

So tell me what the difference is
Between genius and insanity
Honestly it’s just a few million
So what the fck are you gonna tell me

Lobster and crab claws
I’ve seen it all
Built strength through my flaws
This isn’t at all what you thought

Listen
The code is in the music
The codex we use it
Kodak picture perfect trueness

Lost in my own thoughts
Lost in the crown
At the top of the top of the pyramid
I watch it all like a wise old owl

From 44th floor balconies
Champagne and cocaine
The alchemy of all things
In a 4 story penthouse
Partying with people that own airplanes
That’s plural
Owners of airlines and airwaves
Not just one Learjet 60 but entire airlines

Anything we want we acquire quickly
Set deadlines and control headlines
I can’t believe these disparities
But I must leave it all up to sincerity

Honestly
This is a lesson in dualities
You must have these extremes to be blessed with all these luxuries
G-O-D is our Holy Trilogy

And all these thoughts come to me
As I stand out on a 44th floor balcony
From here this entire dirty city looks so pretty
With a model sipping a vodka cranberry

Trippin on my own thoughts
They overflow like lava
But we won’t stop
No periods just commas

Sipping
Grey Goose vodka and guava
Partying at the top of the top
With monsters slash mobsters

And it all seems way too chaotic
And the war drums all sound hypnotic
And the soldiers all seem robotic
Somehow this scene all seems similar and symbolic..

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

American Refugee Part 10: The Glory of Man

I am amazing
Please no don’t blame my ego for that statement
I’m just a Realist
So I understand my societal placement

See these are the days
The last days of The Glory of Man
So tell me your story
Stand up give me your hand

No plan
But lots of planning
No fans
But lots of fanning
Okay some fans
Some stalkers with awkward comments too that deserve flagging
But no spam no ma’am
Because I stay humble no bragging

Still have swag though no shwag bro
So everything I touch is a tagging
Flying high and the weather’s rough
We’re coming in hot it’s going to be a rough landing

Still I see them stare
Amused by the potential plane train wreck

They’re on the sidelines
Cheering and chanting

“Go, go, go!”

Like they’re on my team or something
Or I’m on theirs or something

One thing I’ve noticed
Is the masses have to be told what’s cool
Like kids have to be taught the rules
Like “Look man I play yeah
But don’t ever think you can play me like a fool.”

Tools
Of the trade
Aces
Shovels and spades

These are the days
The end of days
The last days
Of The Glory of Man

And I’m on a tangent again
At a pageant with friends
Princess waving
And shaking hands

Politicking with these fridges pigeons
Wearing a clown crown and a spray tan
Fck that
Wearing a backwards ball cap holding a spray can

No Ray-Bans
So you can see my both of my eyeballs fam
See this whole pageant
Is beginning to feel like a damn scam

I don’t know who these people are
Or where these damn fans ran from
But goddamnit I know who I am
I am amazing

And no please don’t blame my ego for that statement
I’m just a realist so I understand my societal placement
See these days are the last days of The Glory of Man
So get what you can still get while you still can

American Refugee Part 10: Fire Fights

Ships passing in the night
Whatever to get my mind right
Whatever to numb the pain
To take the edge away from me

Take the edge
End with a migraine

Passing trains
Train tracks train wreck we connect

The flash of the lights
I I I’m by your side
Everything else fades
Fire in your eyes like fireflies
It’s gonna be a firefight
Because we both still fight for our rights

Ships passing in the night
Whatever to get my mind right
Whatever to numb the pain
To take the edge away from me

Take the edge
End with a migraine

Passing trains
Train tracks train wreck we connect

The flash of the lights
I I I’m by your side
Everything else fades
Fire in your eyes like fireflies
It’s gonna be a firefight
Because we both still fight for our rights

American Refugee Part 11: Rebirth Of Abraham

Myrrh
Sandalwood
Frankincense
Manhood
Devotional prayers
Marble floors

Prayers on prayers
Sandalwood myrrh
Layers and layers
Tombs on tombs
Psalms on psalms
Rooms on rooms

Ruins turn to temples
Temples turn to ruins
Temple Mount can account
For conflict and resolution

Death
Rebirth
Life
Death
Rebirth

Rebirth

Death
Rebirth
Life

Isaac
Ishmael
Sarah
Leah
Sons
Daughters
Arab
Judah

And Jacob’s sons were the 12 Tribes of Israel
This is Judaism explained in literature that is genealogical
Abraham’s father was Father Terah
Terah’s father was Father Nahor
Nahor’s father was Father Serug

Serug is also the great-grandfather of Abraham
And Abraham’s great-great grandfather was Father Reu who was Sumerian

And Reu lived to be 339
His father was Peleg
Peleg lived to be 239
And these days we think living to 100 is a long time?

Shem’s father was Noah
Noah’s father was Lamech
Lamech’s father was Methuselah
Methuselah’s father was Enoch

Enoch wrote the book
The Book of Enoch
And his father Jared
Lived to be 962

I am exactly what God made me
See even us prophets have to pray daily

Praying

Pray

Myrrh
Sandalwood
Frankincense

Rebirth

Rebirth

Rebirth
Death

Rebirth

Seems like every holy thing in Israel
Was built on something already built on this Earth
Or so say the Masoretic texts
Live upon life death upon death

I’m tired of touring tombstones
I’m ill from killings in the name of God

It’s tough love like the Spanish Inquisition
Or a Christian Mission
It’s tough love
When they disguise eagles as doves

It’s tough love
When we’re talking Muslims and Jews
So I sought sanctuary
Here at Abraham’s tomb
It’s Hellishly hot out there but it’s calmly cool in here
Cocooned by a massive tomb in a marble room

At The Cave of The Patriarch’s
Trying to stay calm in prayer
Focused on the light of the inner truth
And not get too caught up in what goes on out there

It’s so Hellishly hot out there it’s so calmly cool in here
So I try and stay calm in prayer
The 3rd is coming the 3rd is coming
So be safe behave and beware

Light the incense
It’s getting intense
Trapped in Hell
But Heaven sent

In a sense no one is innocent
That’s just common sense
Now come on now it’s time to go
Go and light the incense

Praying
Pray
Praying

Myrrh
Sandalwood
Frankincense
Manhood
Devotional prayers

American Refugee Part 12: Reawakened

48 hours
No sleep
4 planes
3 countries

Where are we currently
Who are you currently
Where are we at
How did we get here
Where are we going
Forget it

Tic tac tic tac tic tac toe
Blindfold swimming pool Marco Polo
Yeah I hear you
Words when you talk
But time is money
Tick tock tick tock

Drum ’n bass be like

What’s with the one fckn with me
I don’t even know
I’ll have to go with the freestyle oh
What you wanna do with the crew that they rocking with
The jungle style that we get all true never talking sh!t

Never why you’re high in the club yeah you buzzin’
Acting like my fam you my fam you my cousin
Tell me what it is not what it wasn’t
Truth is the business for real no frontin’

I think it’s in greatness in the city
That we have to move forward
To continue to shape
And reshape the science of things

Head feels like a ton of bricks
Trying to retrace my mis-stepped steps

Where have I awoken
What country am I in
Who was that girl last night
Why did I choose to go through it again

And I meditate on all of this
Right here at this restaurant as I see them stare

At an American Dream living legend
Awake in a never-ending nefarious nightmare
Eating sushi in the center at the top of the top of the pyramid
Told you before this is the life point blank period

Center of the pyramid
Cursed and blessed
Yes
You were in my dreams again

Even though we are on opposite sides of the world
I swear in my dreams you are here
And I don’t want to wake up
I just want to lay here in this world we’ve created
Where we have our secret rendezvouses…
